hello. my name is jim bishop. this is what i look like today:

 

such a long weekend!! i returned to this fair city of austin at around 11:30 on friday night. immediately sleep took hold. saturday, we (margaret and i) got up early (that means around 9:30) to go swimming out at pedernales with lee, jessica, woody, and harpy. woody and harpy are jessica and lee's dogs respectively. afterwards, we all came back to my house and made dinner. we had poached salmon with dill sauce and asparagus (and corn). i took many dinner pictures, but upon review, we all looked like ass, so here's a couple of well selected pictures. sunday found me sleeping late (around 11). margaret and i met lane and courtney and cortney and eric at old alligator grill for beer, shrimp, and oysters. after the vitamin E rush kicked in, we all decided to go see shaft. later that night, jessica and i went to trudy's so i could get a taco. even later than that, i went out for coffee with dan and bryanboyer. (i actually drank herbal iced tea and had a piece of lemon cake. it was the yummiest.) the most bizarre incident of the weekend happened at bryanboyer's house after the iced tea getting. he was showing me the virtues and many adjustable features of his new herman miller aeron chair when we heard this loud screeeeeeeeeee. we thought the chair had made the noise until bryanboyer sat down on his bed and sat on the largest most frightening cicada i've ever seen. we didn't behave honorably. we both shrieked like little girls and scurried from his room. after regaining composure, bryanboyer re-entered his room and slew the beast with a broom. he followed this with the traditional burial at sea (flush). hee hee.
