ahhh... today seems to be MUCH smoother than yesterday. last night jack and i went into the city for awhile. we went down to haight/ashbury. everything was closed, and jack seemed disappointed at its gentrification. i bought a belle and sebastian album that i'd never heard of; it seems to be new. later we went to this restaurant near san jose and had dinner with some friends of ella. the food was excellent. the menu was a little disconcerting. what is beef organs? that's what i want to know. i had a seafood congee that was incredible. upon returning to my room, i fell into bed and slept the sleep of the dead. my room is not very posh, but it has beautiful art. today, i've got a full battery of meetings. tonight, si'm going to try to force mehryar, my old dejaCompadre(tm), out for sushi. ADMINISTRIVIA: my temporary california driver's license.
