hello. my name is jim bishop. this is what i look like today:

old friends
today, i'm offering you a rare glimpse into the world of jim. i'm calling it "jim, after hours." catchy, no?

i got a new haircut yesterday. i missed my last two hair appointments because i'm a bad, bad client. so i took my hair dresser, fabian, some really pretty flowers. in return, he gave me the nicest haircut ever. my hair salon, hairy situations, is visible to me from where i sit in the luxorious excite@home complex on south congress. it gives one a sense of peace to know they can run across the street for a haircut (or coloring!) any time. doesn't it? i think it does.

so after work, i went to the grocery store down the street to pick up a few things for dinner. the place was a madhouse. i really don't enjoy crowds. i used to shop at 2 in the morning to avoid all of the people, but i think that's a little ridiculous, don't you?

last night for dinner, i made creamed chicken (recipe) for margaret and stacey. they went swimming at bull creek after work. i wanted to have dinner on the table when the got home at 7:30, but the gods conspired against me. instead, i began cooking when they got home at 7:30.

creamed chicken is one of my favorite foods. it's super simple to make. i just haven't got a handle on cooking rice. i know that seems trivial, but margaret is a rice cooking fiend so i am just a poor apprentice under her tutelage.

after dinner, we watched the LA/Indiana game. then, i cleaned the kitchen up, and margaret did some laundry.

whew!! it's been a long day. margaret calls it a night around 11:30. i pack my laptop up and head back into the office. i worked until about 1:30, or until the empty building started to creep me out, whichever came first.

then, home and sleep.

kavita thinks this is too much information about my personal life. do you agree?

email me to talk about your night
or look at what i looked like yesterday.
