hello. my name is jim bishop. this is what i look like today:

 

"life moves pretty fast..." i got everything i wanted to do done this weekend. i even came into work on sunday for a while. margaret and i didn't get to go swimming, but i did fix her car. (yes, i'm a man!) sarah and billy's party saturday night was great. i went with margaret, lee, kavita, jessica, and stephen gray. jessica and i played "which faction are you with" for quite awhile. sarah is a PhD student in the biology department at UT, and her husband, billy, is a designer for works.com. so the game consisted of jessica and i pointing someone out and trying to figure out what flavor of geek they were. there seemed to be many groups of people there: works.com people, biology people, social work people, former & current deja employees, and the illusive kentucky diaspora. the sons of hercules played at the continental club on saturday night. they were incredible. i met their drummer at a party last weekend, and he told me to expect them to be really loud. "whatever," i thought, "never needed ear plugs before." what an idiot i was. they were so loud! their lead singer has this iggy pop meets mick jagger appeal, and the drummer is a madman. you have to go see them if you haven't yet. this week is going to be fast and furious. i've got so much to do before i go on vacation next week. margaret's 7-year-old brother, kyle, is coming to stay with us for a week. we're going to take him camping and hiking and biking and ... anything else we can think of to tire out a seven year old. time to get back to it.
